The The Tellington TTouch Equine Awareness Method (TTEAM) approach enables the handler/rider to find the cause of the problem, rather than just treat the symptoms.
The fundamental reasoning behind TTEAM is that common resistances such as being pushy or not wanting to load or stand for the farrier, can stem from pain, fear, tension or lack of understanding. In many cases, these are reasons for a horse being termed difficult or naughty. TTEAM addresses both behavioural and physical problems in a safe and non-confrontational way.
TTEAM is not a quick fix, but results are positive and long-lasting. By using a combination of TTouch and TTEAM groundwork, remarkable changes can be made.
The TTEAM system can be incorporated easily into an existing training programme, as well as into a horse’s daily routine. For example, five minutes of TTouch during grooming will help the horse become more relaxed and receptive when ridden.
